Steven Tyler Wears A Dress To Charity Event (Photos)

Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler wore a dress to a charity event in Rome, Italy on Sept. 10.

According to Just Jared, Tyler attended the closing night gala Celebrity Fight Night, a week-long event benefiting The Andrea Bocelli Foundation and the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center.

Tyler, 69, donned a long white-shirt dress with dark trousers underneath and accessorized with a necklace.

He was accompanied by his girlfriend, 28-year-old Aimee Preston, who also wore a similarly colored skirt and blouse with strappy heels.

Needless to say, the look certainly captured attention and provoked a wide range of responses on the internet.

Some couldn’t help but crack a few jokes.

“It’s frock and roll,” quipped one Daily Mail reader.

“He should’ve ditched the baggy pants under it and worn better shoes,” added another. “Ruined the whole look. Sheesh!”

“Wow this dude has some balls lol,” wrote a third.

“This is your brain on drugs,” joked somebody else.

Others were less than entertained and criticized the star.

“Good god, the things some people will do for attention, what a pratt,” said one.

“I don’t know which looks more ridiculous… the white dress he’s wearing or the 28-year old he’s with that could be his granddaughter!,” chimed in another. “LMAO!”

Yet others defended Tyler.

“This an entertainer who has been loved for many years, what he wears is none of your business, just always love his music…” shot back one commenter.

“Sans the dress he looks pretty good for 69….no matter what he does everyone still loves him, he was and is a great entertainer and will live on in the rock generation,” said another.

In addition to sporting unusual outfits, Tyler also posed for a photo with Elton John, Andrea Bocelli, and music producer David Foster at the event. The Aerosmith singer captioned the shot “The Italian Rat Pack” on Instagram.

The charity event is just one of at least two Tyler may attend this year, reports KING.

On Sept. 3, Tyler revealed he plans to be in San Antonio, Texas, in early November. San Antonio was one of the areas hit by Hurricane Harvey.

“We’re keeping that slot open to do something,” Tyler said, saying that he has been talking to his producers about the Harvey victims. “Always in our hearts and dreams. And if I can sing ‘Dream On’ or ‘Walk This Way,’ raise money for people who completely got wiped out, I’m there.”
