On April Fool’s Day, people play the biggest jokes they can think of. If you like playing prank wars, you probably wait all year for April 1 to trick your closest friends and family. You might spend days, weeks, or even months coming up with a funny joke that makes fun of someone else.
Well, at least you did this if you’re anything like Maureen Pritchard. For April Fool’s Day, this woman spent months planning how to trick her husband, and the whole Internet can’t stop laughing about it because it’s so real. If you’ve ever had to hide an Amazon purchase from your husband because you’re addicted to Prime, you’ll probably agree.
Maureen kept all of the Amazon boxes from the things she bought from the site over a few months. She even got her parents and sister to help out by asking them to save the boxes from the things they bought.
Just in time for April Fool’s Day, Maureen had saved up enough boxes to pull the biggest joke on her husband yet. While he was at work, she carefully lined up all the empty boxes on her doorstep as if they had all been delivered that day. When he got home, he thought dozens of Amazon purchases had just been delivered that day, which meant his wife went a little click-happy (and spend-happy!).
Rob, her husband, must not have known what day it was when he got home and saw all the boxes in the driveway.
When Rob got into the house in Wisconsin, it was clear that he thought all of those boxes were real purchases. He wasn’t too happy when he realized how much money his wife must have spent, at least before he realized it was a joke.
Here is the Facebook post that Maureen made, which has since gotten nearly 4,000 likes and thousands of comments from people, mostly wives, praising Maureen for pulling the best prank ever.
I’ve been planning an April Fool’s joke to play on Rob for MONTHS!! I got him good! I wish I would have continued to record right away when he came in the house,
she wrote on Facebook.
When he saw me recording out the window I thought he realized that it was a joke, but when he came inside he kept asking, ‘What IS all that?!?’ I had to explain that it was 6 months of saved boxes, from us, my parents, and my sister! The second video is his reaction. April Fools! Anyone need any boxes?!? You have no idea how many people slowed down or stopped in front of our house all day today!
How funny is this prank? If you ordered this many packages in one day, would your spouse kill you? Did you ever play any jokes on April Fools?
