Michelle Obama’s memoir “Becoming” is a huge hit.
On Wednesday, Crown Publishing shared that more than 1.4 million copies of the former first lady’s memoir has been sold in digital and print formats both in Canada and the US in just a week after its release on 13 November.
Around 3 million hardcover copies were printed by the publisher in North America based on the book’s demand. On the first day itself, around 725,000 and more copies were sold making it the biggest debut of the year.

According to Crown Publishing, the memoir is the No. 1 adult non-fiction title in countries including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Holland, Finland, Spain and Denmark. Around 200,000 copies have been already sold in Germany and 100,000 more copies are in print.
Viking as published “Becoming” in the UK and it has already had 5 press runs with 575,000 copies in print. The memoir is breaking all the earlier records.
