The constant pressure of having to always look perfect is something that celebrities have to deal with day in and day out. Some celebrities, however, feel that aging is a natural process and, rather than undergoing invasive procedures to try to maintain their youth, they choose to embrace the wrinkles that come with age. This is in contrast to the majority of celebrities, however, who choose to have cosmetic surgery in order to maintain their youthful appearance.
These self-assured women are an inspiration to all of us here at Hiptoro because they have rejected the idea of undergoing cosmetic surgery in order to demonstrate to the rest of us that there is nothing inherently wrong with getting older.
Jamie Lee Curtis
The actress who appeared in Freaky Friday is a forthright individual, and she does not attempt to conceal how she feels about getting plastic surgery. She is against these procedures now despite the fact that she has admitted that none of them worked for her in the first place. “The current trend of fillers and procedures, and this obsession with filtering, and the things that we do to adjust our appearance on Zoom are wiping out generations of beauty. Once you mess with your face, you can’t get it back,” she said.
Jennifer Aniston
The actress who has won multiple awards admitted that she had rhinoplasty for medical reasons, but she thinks that altering your face looks pitiful regardless of the reason. “I think what I have been witness to, is seeing women trying to stay ageless with what they are doing to themselves. I am grateful to learn from their mistakes because I am not injecting anything into my face. They are trying to stop the clock and all you can see is an insecure person who won’t let themselves just age,” she said.
Drew Barrymore
The actress who appeared in Never Been Kissed thinks that getting older is something to be celebrated and embraced rather than resisted, and that we should stop trying to avoid it. “I say, don’t fight the rings on the trunk of a tree. Just keep counting ‘em. The idea of not looking like myself scares me. I just think a person’s character is what’s interesting,” she shared.
Emma Thompson
The actress, who was awarded an Oscar in the past, is 62 years old but still manages to look absolutely stunning, and she has no intention of undergoing plastic surgery. “I’m not fiddling about with myself. We’re in this awful youth-driven thing now where everybody needs to look 30 at 60. This is the law of diminishing returns. The trick is to age honestly and gracefully and make it look great so that everyone looks forward to it,” she said.
Meryl Streep
The actress from It’s Complicated has a distinctive appearance, and she has stated that she has no intention of conforming her appearance to the beauty standards of Hollywood. She has built her reputation on her unusually stunning appearance and has steadfastly rejected the idea of undergoing plastic surgery. “I just don’t get it. You have to embrace getting older,” she said.
Kristen Stewart
The multiple-award-winning actress freely admits that the mere idea of altering some aspect of her appearance makes her feel anxious. “I am so freaked out by the idea of doing anything. And maybe that’s completely arrogant but I don’t want to change anything about myself. I think the women who do are losing their minds. It’s vandalism,” she shared.
Halle Berry
The star of X-Men is of the opinion that one must come to terms with the realization that they will, in time, present an older appearance. “Aging is natural, and that’s going to happen to all of us. I just want to always look like myself, even if that’s an older version of myself. I think when you do too much of that cosmetic stuff, you become somebody else in a way,” she said.
Heidi Klum
The world-famous model takes immense satisfaction in her natural attractiveness and has no intention of altering anything about herself. “I’m proud to be able to say, in this day and age, I haven’t done anything. Everyone has a view of what’s not pretty and plastic surgery just doesn’t look pretty to me,” she shared.
Salma Hayek
However, despite her belief that “every woman is entitled to fight to preserve her youth,” the actress does not support the use of plastic surgery. “It’s like the uniform of a generation. And it’s not necessarily beautiful. It’s not wrinkled-looking, but it’s not beautiful,” she said.
Julianne Moore
The actress, who is 61 years old, is positive that she will never get plastic surgery because she believes it would negatively impact her career. “Personally, I’ve not had anything done. My job means too much to me. It’s important to be able to play women at all points in their lives and I don’t like products that freeze your face in time. I need to show expressions,” she explained.
In your opinion, what do you think about the practice of plastic surgery? If you were a Hollywood star, would you try to change something about your appearance, or would you embrace the natural beauty that you were born with?
