Having a pet at home is a blessing in disguise. They are not always at their best behaviour. Its nothing like they are violent, but sometimes they are so full of energy and in the mood of playing that they end up destroying many things.

Many studies prove that people living with pets are less likely to suffer from depression, anxiety and stress. They have a sense of understanding as well, and so they warn you with their behaviour if they sense your health is not in good shape.

When you live with a pet animal, you run the risk of… Well, everything. It’s very unpredictable, and almost anything can potentially happen. And not all of them good things. For example, there are certain puppies and dogs that are prone to being aggressive and destructive, but it’s not intentional. They’re not violent. They just like to play, and they like playing a little rough. That being said, sometimes you’re able to capture it for the world to see.
After all, we spend most of our time now on the internet, using one social media or another. So, having our phones at hand isn’t such an unusual premise anymore. There are important studies which tell us that;
Pet owners are less likely to suffer from depression than those without pets.
People with pets have lower blood pressure in stressful situations than those without pets. One study even found that when people with borderline hypertension adopted dogs from a shelter, their blood pressure declined significantly within five months.
Playing with a dog or cat can elevate levels of serotonin and dopamine, which calm and relax.

Heart attack patients with pets survive longer than those without.

They further explained how companionship is of importance. Most pets parents talk to their pets, sit with them and cuddle them. Companionship reduces the chances of falling ill and also make you a happier person.

Megan Mueller is the director of Tufts Institute for Human-Animal Interaction, and she states; “A lot of us who have pets think, ‘Oh, they must be sort of uniformly good for us’. We’re finding is it is a little bit more complicated than we originally thought. “I always say that it’s not a great question: ‘Are our pets good for us?’ It’s who are pets good for, under what circumstances, and is it the right match between the person and the pet?”
