Having a cat as your pet is basically having a family member.
You may experience some ups and downs with them, just like you do with your family. It comes naturally. Because cats are by nature very moody, everything always goes according to plan. If they’re feeling playful, they’ll keep you amused for a long time. They will ruin your life if they want to be petty. There is tranquility in your life too when they are asleep and undisturbed. It is actually the cat who chooses the human because sometimes these tiny furballs find their way into your life on their own. Once they decide to choose you, prepare for a wild ride.
On Reddit, these individuals wrote about their experiences as cat owners. They all demonstrate that life with a cat is full of ups and downs, despite the fact that some of them experienced tragedies and others had traumatic pasts. Click the links below to view the posts:

“My sweet rescue boy- a year later”
“It’s the right thing to do in my opinion if you want a pet! The only bad thing is that a street abandoned animal like mine came with a ton of health issues that are not under control and separation anxiety because probably never felt safe before being rescued off the streets by the rescue association ? But otherwise is an absolutely rewarding thing to do and I really recommend rescue animals if you’re patient and willing to nurture a probably sad, scared animal <3”
“My precious girl took her walk over the rainbow bridge a few hours after this photo. Here’s to 20 years of love and whiskers”
“Klaus realised that the little nap at the vets cost him his balls.”
“This weirdo yells until I let her join me in the bathtub”
“I am in the bathtub to be in the water rather than air. The cat is in her kimchi tub to be in air rather than water. It is a tubseption.”
Our time with our furry friends is limited, so we should make the most of it by developing close bonds with them. Because cats, regrettably, live shorter lives than we do and are therefore more likely to pass away while we are still alive. So while you still have the chance, pick up your little pet and cuddle it.
“My 18-year-old cat, Oscar, just experienced his first home move (across the country). Wasn’t sure if he would make it, but he seems to be doing just fine”
“2 days ago she was a stray living at a gas station. Now she’s cuddled up at home waiting for the arrival of her babies. Should be any time now!”
“My sweet Gary napping in his spaceship (:”
“Her name is Dora. We found her, 12 years ago. She just passed. I’ve known her longer than I’ve known my own child.”
“She was a stray when we found her. Once she got settled indoors, she would randomly leave for a day or 2 and come back, for years. Sometimes a little beat up from whatever action she ran into in the streets lol. But she would always come back. In other words, she was definitely a angel in the house & a gangsta in the streets lol.”
“We found them this morning in our garden.”
“I lost my handsome best friend yesterday. He was the gentlest cat I’ve met.”
“His name was Cookie. He spent most of his time sleeping outside in the grass or on somebody’s lap. He loved rolling around in the dirt and playing in boxes. He was the most perfect cat and always seemed to know when you were feeling down. I’m extremely sad but I’m so grateful to have had him in my life.”
“RIP Melvin, I unexpectedly lost my best friend in the middle of the night. I held him tight when he left us. He saved my life”
“Sylvester’s transformation! we found this ugly duckling in the street, now he’s truly a beautiful swan.”
“She’s showing off her bikini!”
“My 3 months old nugget when the neighbours are cooking fish”
“15 years of my girl being by my side, and she passed away on Tuesday. I’m not in a very good place right now. R.I.P Honey”
“My girl Mochi is SUPER proud of her new neck scarf!”
