The Philadelphia Sixers’ center Joel Embiid is likely to ask for a move this summer. The reigning MVP might part ways with the Sixers if James Harden does so. Harden has asked for a move to the Clippers and his departure would definitely weaken the Sixers. Embiid is in his prime, and he would not like to be a part of a struggling team.
Embiid played a total of 66 games last season for the Sixers and averaged 33.1 points, 4.2 assists and 10.2 rebounds per game. He played a major role for the Sixers, and they would not like to lose him. Can the Sixers convince Harden and Embiid to stay? We hope they do but if they fail to do so, here are three destinations we think that the player might head to.
Joel Embiid to the Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder can offer a haul for the Sixers’ center. They have a young core which they have developed over the years and also accumulated a lot of assets while doing so. They can use the extra draft picks they have and can land a superstar to lead them. But they are not a team which Embiid would fancy joining but can the Thunder attract the Sixers with their package?
Joel Embiid is an ‘ideal’ trade candidate for the Knicks, per @SBondyNYDN

Joel Embiid to New Orleans Pelicans
The Pelicans are looking for a replacement for Jonas Valanciunas but there have been rumors about Williamson’s and Ingram’s departure as well. If the Pelicans want to really do so, they can offer them in exchange for Embiid who would fulfil a lot more needs than Jonas anyways. Can the Pelicans manage to lure Embiid into joining them?
“Many around the league believe Embiid will ask out sooner rather than later — and that a full rebuild is what Morey is covertly hoping for.”

Joel Embiid to the Brooklyn Nets
The Nets can fulfill Embiid’s desire of playing in New York since he is rumored to join the Knicks as well. They have a quality squad, and they would be able to make a better offer than the Knicks. But for Embiid to arrive, Ben Simmons will have to leave. Are they ready to do that?
Joel Embiid might wait for a year to see how the Sixers perform, and if that would be the case, all the rumors will continue after a year. We’ll keep you updated.
