Colin Kaepernick is a former San Francisco 49ers player and an American civil rights activist. Kaepernick played for six seasons with the 49ers until 2016. His football career came to a halt when he knelt during an NFL game as a form of protest against racial injustice and police brutality.
In the past, Kaepernick played as a quarterback for the Niners and helped them reach the Super Bowl in 2012, where they played against the Ravens. He performed exceptionally well the following year, throwing 21 touchdowns and only eight interceptions, scoring four times and running for 524 yards.
During that season, San Francisco won 12 out of 16 games. However, his performance declined in his final two seasons as a starting quarterback, where he only won three out of 16 games, and he eventually opted out of his contract in the 2017 off-season.
Recently the 35-year-old quarterback was spotted practising with a few running backs and receivers such as Najee Harris, Derrick Henry, Chris Olave, and CeeDee Lamb. Kaepernick shared a Nike promotional video on his Twitter, where he can be seen showcasing his physique and fitness.

With no news of Kaepernick’s NFL return, let’s take a look at potential teams where the 35-year-old would fit in well.
Top 3 NFL Teams For Colin Kaepernick
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Despite his age being a possible hindrance in his NFL signing, Kaepernick’s experience and skills will work in his favour. Buccaneers have been currently eyeing Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask for the opening position. But there’s simply no doubt that Colin Kaepernick can bring a lot more to the table compared to the other two. As Kendrick Bourne said, “He’s got another good six years left.”
2. Tennessee Titans
Kaepernick could be the perfect fit needed to give running back Derrick Henry the support he needs playing for the Titans. With Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill’s career striding towards the end, the team would be on the lookout for a seasoned quarterback. Who better than Colin Kaepernick, who has expressed his intention to return to NFL several times, to join Henry and bring the passion that the team requires?
1. Arizona Cardinals
With Kyler Murray’s ACL injury, Arizona Cardinals will require a strong quarterback to replace Murray in the upcoming season. There’s no better time for Cardinals to sign Kaepernick who will not only be a steal deal but also provide the team with exactly what they need. Colin Kaepernick’s running skills will fit like a glove at the Cardinals.
