Fans of Johnny Depp are confused by his recent change in appearance.
In a video that was just uploaded to TikTok and has since been seen by tens of thousands of people, the famous person bends down to talk to one of their loyal fans.
But a lot of people couldn’t believe it was really Depp because of how he looked. Some even said that the Johnny Depp in the video was a “lookalike” and not the real thing.

The video clip shows someone who looks a lot like Johnny Depp kneeling down to talk to a woman named Christine Kelly, who the caption says is in the audience.
Someone who works behind the camera asks the actor who plays Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean if he could play Captain Jack Sparrow, one of his most well-known roles.
Depp jumps right into the role of Jack Sparrow and starts talking like him. He talks about how he perfects his slurred pirate accent and even acts drunk as he talks about “rum.”
“This is another video of Johnny spending time with Christine Kelly (the wonderful lady that made us all cry when she met Johnny),” the caption of the clip reads.
Depp was easy to spot in the crowd because of his trademark bandana, waistcoat, and a large collection of jewelry. Even so, a lot of people thought that the man in the video was not a Hollywood star.
“I think that’s a Johnny Depp lookalike, the real Johnny Depp doesn’t have ears like that,” one person wrote.
Another agreed: “This is not Johnny Depp, he doesn’t smile the same. Had me for a moment though, great costume”
“Tbh. I didn’t think it was him either. His mouth looks different. Sounds a bit under the weather. I’d say too much rum,” chimed in a third.
But when these people found out that Depp was playing Jack Sparrow, one of them thought that Depp did look like him.
“Oh. Looked at it again. Didn’t realize he was playing Jack Sparrow. Ooops. Maybe me had too much rum,” they wrote in a follow-up comment.
Others pointed out that the only thing that was different about him was that he didn’t have any facial hair anymore because he had shaved it.
“It threw me off him with no facial hair,” one commented. Another added: “Yes it’s Johnny he just [shaved] guys.”
