Han Joon-hee (Jeon Yeo-bin) is battling with the grief of her boyfriend, Ku Yeon-joon (Ahn Hyo-seop) passing away. Although it has been a year, her heart remains shattered. In an astonishing moment, Joon-hee is sent back to 1998 as the high school student Kwon Min-joo. The 12-episode K-drama of 2023 is slated for a September 8 premiere.
2. Song of the Bandits
The story of Song of the Bandits is set in Gando during the period of Japanese rule over South Korea and follows the struggles of the outcasts in the area who are determined to protect their newfound home.
One of the upcoming Netflix Korean dramas slated for Fall 2023 is Song of Bandits. This K-drama has an interesting spin on history. Joseon inhabitants have fled to Japan, only to find themselves in Gando, a place without rules. Residents of Gando collaborate with bandits to guard their households. Netflix revealed that Song of Bandits will make its debut on September 22, 2023.
3. Doona!
Despite her fame and success as the lead vocalist of a famous girl group, Bae Suzy’s character, Lee Doo-na, decides to retire. She moves into a shared house close to a college, where Lee Won-joon (played by Yang Se-jong), a gentle university student, also resides. As he becomes more and more intrigued by Doo-na, he extends his kindness to her, and the two of them start to have romantic feelings for one another.
Korean dramas featuring students are widely popular among viewers. The film adaptation of “Lee Doo-Na!” by Min Song-ah is coming to theatres on October 20, 2023, and is titled Doona!
4. Diva of the Deserted Island
Park Eun-bin’s most recent K-drama was her memorable performance in Extraordinary Attorney Woo. She is now back on Netflix with Diva of the Deserted Island. This romantic comedy follows the story of Seo Mok-ha (Park) who desires to become a diva. In order to achieve her ambition, she takes part in a UCC competition and travels to Seoul.
After 15 years of being stranded on an isolated island, she must now adjust to life in civilization again. Viewers can watch her journey as she attempts to make her dream come true when Diva of the Deserted Island premieres on Netflix on October 21st in selected regions.
5. The Moon That Rises in the Day
Kang Young-Hwa (Pyo Ye-jin) was a firefighter who is now taking on the role of a bodyguard. She is the reincarnation of Han Ta-ri, the last remaining member of a noble family from the Silla Dynasty. While shooting a commercial, she rescues celebrity Han Jun-oh (Kim Young-dae), and her life is altered forever.
At the time of the accident, Jun-oh became inhabited by the spirit of Do-ha, an esteemed aristocrat from the Silla period. The trouble is that Do-ha has an alternate character to that of Jun-oh. Like other Korean dramas, you can expect all the twists and turns that will keep you entertained throughout. The release date for The Moon that Rises in the Day is set as October 25, 2023.
6. Daily Dose of Sunshine
In Netflix’s Daily Dose of Sunshine, Jung Da-eun (Park Bo-young) is a nurse who is assigned to a neuropsychiatry ward. Her mission is to bring joy and hope to the patients and staff, despite it being her first time working in the psychiatric ward. As Jung Da-eun interacts with the patients, Doctor Dong Go-yoon (Yeon Woo-jin) finds himself increasingly uplifted by her presence.
It is also one of the Korean dramas that have been adapted from a comic. Daily Dose of Sunshine is based on a comic by Lee Ra-ha titled Jungshinbyungdongedo Achimeun Wayo.
