The movie is the follow-up to The Expendables 3 and marks the end of Stallone’s involvement in the series.
2. Cliffhanger
Sylvester Stallone will be making a comeback as the mountain climber and rescue ranger in the modern version of the 1993 action movie Cliffhanger. The movie is to be directed by Ric Roman Waugh, director of Angel Has Fallen and Greenland, with a screenplay written by Mark Bianculli.
Stallone will be joined by Neal H. Moritz, Toby Jaffe, Thorsten Schumacher, and Lars Sylvest as producers, while Waugh, Chance Wright, Gianluca Chakra, Hisham Alghanim, and director Ana Lily Amirpour will take on executive producing duties. An ensemble cast is presently in the process of being formed.
3. Never Too Old To Die
Amazon Studios has obtained the screenplay for Never Too Old to Die penned by Brian Otting. The movie will star Sylvester Stallone in the lead. The action comedy, to be produced by Stallone and Braden Aftergood for Balboa Productions, follows a Cold War hero who embarks on a quest to find the murderer in a retirement home full of spies.
4. Scavenger Hunt
The Scavenger Hunt is the first project under the multi-year agreement between Stallone and Balboa and Amazon Studios is coming up, with Stallone writing, directing, producing, and starring in both scripted and unscripted works for the studio’s film and TV endeavors. A director has yet to be chosen.
5. Little America
Sylvester Stallone is set to take the lead role in the anticipated AGC Studios action movie, Little America. The movie will be promoted at the European Film Market and is expected to be one of the most sought-after packages. The plot revolves around a dystopian future, where the United States has gone bankrupt and transformed into a battlefield.
Sly plays a former Army Ranger who is hired by an Asian billionaire to search for his daughter and is joined by the highly-skilled sister of the missing girl. They must explore the shadows of Little America, which is a walled-off city-within-a-city in Hong Kong, where a great number of Americans have relocated.
The cast list of the movie suggests that Sly will be joined by Michelle Yeoh, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Celina Jade.
6. Hunter
In 2009, Sylvester Stallone acquired the movie rights to James Byron Huggins’ novel Hunter with the intention to add it to the Rambo story. The book is about Nathaniel Hunter and his extraordinary tracking abilities, which are utilized to take down a human-like monster, made by a secret organization, that wants to ruin the world. However, there haven’t been any recent updates regarding the project from Stallone’s team.
