Aaron Carter was an American singer, songwriter, and actor who gained fame in the late 1990s. Born on December 7, 1987, he came from a family with a musical background, including his older brother Nick Carter, a member of the popular boy band Backstreet Boys.
In 1997, Aaron Carter’s music career blasted off with his first single, Crush on You. This was followed by the self-titled album, but he really reached stardom with the release of Aaron’s Party (Come Get It) in 2000. The album had a successful single, I Want Candy, which was a hit on the radio and on the charts.

Aaron was the offspring of Robert and Jane Carter, who split up in 2004. During their marriage, Robert and Jane had five children: Nick, born in 1980, Bobbie Jean, born in 1982, Leslie, born in 1986, and a pair of twins, Aaron and Angel, born in 1987.
The E! series House of Carters, which aired for one season in 2006, documented the life of the family. Robert passed away in May 2017 at the age of 65. The news of their father’s death was announced by Nick Carter via Twitter asking for privacy.
“I am heartbroken to share the news that our father, Robert, passed away last night. While we learn more about the cause of death, and begin the grieving process, we ask that our privacy be respected at this difficult time.”
Aaron Carter Siblings
Nick Carter, the oldest of the Carter siblings, is an artist in the Backstreet Boys. Bobbie Jean was brought in by the police in June 2023 for supposedly taking arts and crafts supplies from a shop and having fentanyl on her. After that, she vanished from the public eye.
In January 2012, Leslie, their sibling, passed away at 25 years old due to a drug overdose. Lastly, Aaron had an identical twin named Angel who shared a post honoring Aaron’s death.

Reports have indicated that the Carters have a half-sibling, Virginia Marie, from their dad’s first marriage. Additionally, there is a stepsister known as Taelyn Dobson and a half-brother, Kaden Brent Carter, who are both from their father’s most recent marriage to Ginger Elrod.

When Aaron Carter was 18 years old, he asked Kari Ann Peniche, a Playboy model, to marry him in the month of September 2006. However, the couple canceled their engagement after only six days. At the same time, Nick had difficulties with his dependency on drugs and alcohol, a topic he later wrote about in his 2013 book called Facing the Music and Living to Talk About It.
In November 2021, Aaron and his on-off girlfriend Melanie Martin became the proud parents of a baby boy, named Prince Lyric Carter. Melanie is bringing up her son Prince on her own.
