Siemen’s Chief Executive along with ABB’s Chief Executive is travelling to Saudi Arabia so as to attend the conference related to suppliers.
It has been just weeks when after the death of a journalist they had pulled out an investment event.
The CEO of ABB, Ulrich Spiesshofer and that of Siemens, Joe Kaeser will be travelling to Damman for a Saudi Aramco IPO-ARMO.SE organized event which is known as the In-Kingdom Total Value Add abbreviated as (IKTVA).
The event will be taking place on Monday and Tuesday.
The two have been amongst those executives who after the killing of the journalist, Jamal Khashoggi had boycotted an investment conference earlier. Khashoggi was a critical journalist for the government of Saudi Arabia.
Spiesshofer will be visiting a factory of ABB in Dammam during his trip. He will also be meeting the representatives from Saudi Aramco. Aramco is one of the most important customers of ABB in that region.
The other attendees of the IKTVA include Schlumberger’s Paal Kibsgaard and the CEO of the Oilfield Services Company, Halliburton, Jeff Miller.
On Sunday, in a statement released by ABB, the company said that along with being a responsible partner with all their customers the company also acts as a responsible employer when taking into consideration their workforce.
The company further added that because of this the CEO of ABB will be meeting the 200 employees at the plant of the company in Dammam during his trip.
The company also said that in addition to that visit to the plant, the CEO will also be meeting a very important customer of that region in order to conduct further dialogue with the customer.
The CEO of Siemens confirmed that he will be visiting the IKTVA and that he will amongst the speakers.
