Stana Katic, who plays the lead role in Absentia, has released important information about Season 2 and we could not be more excited.
The second installment of the thriller drama has already been released on Showcase on April 3 in Canada, but the United States fans will still have to wait for its release on Amazon Prime this summer.

Katic appeared on The Morning Show last week, and she seemed eager to share details about the second season with fans.
Absentia Plot
She plays Emily Brine, an FBI agent with no memory of the last 6 years. She was declared dead while she was being held captive over the years and now she is a suspect in several murder cases.
The season finale of the first instalment revealed several ugly truths about Emily, including who her kidnappers were.

In the interview, Katic revealed that the new season is going to be different than the previous one and that it will have a lot of “twists” and “dark moments”. The show will involve several difficult moments for Emily as she faces the truth about her husband’s second marriage and her son’s new mother.
Absentia Season 2 new trailer also revealed that although Emily will try to fit into the new dynamics, her life may not be out of danger just yet. It is rumoured that she will hire a detective to find out the truth about her past along with what had happened to her during her childhood.
The new shift that Katic talks about may be a hint towards a new location for filming. She also revealed that she will be returning as a co-producer of the show.
The first episode of Absentia Season 2 will be released on June 14th on Amazon Prime.
