When you generally see people adopting abandoned dogs, you feel happy. But when a celebrity does such a deed of kindness, people are surprised to learn that after having so much money and the capacity to buy an expensive breed dog, they choose to adopt a dog.
Recently, actor Jonah Hill adopted a three-year-old adopted a charcoal grey pitbull from Love Leo Rescue in Los Angeles. The dog was abandoned by her owners in a local shelter during the holiday season.
The 3-year-old pit bull terrier had been abandoned by her owners at a rural shelter during the holiday season
The pup was dumped by her owners at the Victor Valley dog shelter. Fig was confused and scared. She was clinging toward the shelter staff and they couldn’t see him in a sad condition. So, the staff decided to find a foster home for him.
Love Leo Rescue in Los Angeles took the doggy in and, soon enough, found her a forever home
Yesterday, the animal rescue shared the good news on Instagram about Fig’s adoption and to thank Jonah Hill along with all the other people who took care of the doggy when she needed it the most.
“Fig is home! Thank you @jonahhill for choosing to #adoptnotshop. All the cool kids are doing it!!” the rescue team wrote in their post. “This beautiful, extra cuddly, three-year-old pit bull was abandoned at a rural shelter during the holiday season. We are so happy she landed where she did. Clearly it’s a love connection.”
Yesterday, Jonah went on Instagram to share the news and to thank Love Leo Rescue for their hard work
“It truly does take a village,” the team added after thanking all the kind-hearted people. “Every shelter dog that’s adopted puts the squeeze on breeders (or greeders as we call them). We’re loving this adoption story and are so grateful we could be part of her journey. Happy life!”
“You gave me a massive gift,” the actor wrote in his Instagram post
After adopting Fig, Jonah Hill also shared pictures of Fig on his Instagram handle and thanked the animal rescue group for the support. “Thank you so much @loveleorescue you gave me a massive gift and I appreciate you and the work you and your foster parent volunteers do,” the actor wrote in the description of the post.
