After Life Season 2 has been officially confirmed by Netflix. And here is everything that you need to know about the upcoming season. The first season premiered on Netflix on 8 March and initially, it received lukewarm responses.
But, it became very popular with the people with time. And now, the second season has officially been confirmed.
After Life Season 2 release date
Netflix has not announced any official release date as of now. But, it is expected to air in the early months of 2020. Ricky Gervais commented on the renewal by saying that he has never received such a reaction before.
The first season was shot in the previous summer in UK and it released on 8 March. Gervais said,
“The response is really heartwarming. But, now I have to ensure that the second season is even better.”
Although, the first season was very popular among the people, it has had its share of criticisms as well.
After Life Season 2 Cast
It is likely that most of the cast of the first season will return for their roles. So, Gervais will return for his role of Tony. He will be accompanied by Tony Way (Lenny) and Tom Basden (Matt).
Other cast members will include David Bradley (Ray) and Ashley Jensen (Emma). Tony’s late wife Lisa will be played by Kerry Godliman and she will appear in more flashback scenes.
After Life Season 2 plot
Season 2 is going to continue to focus on the story of Tony. According to Netflix’s synopsis, Tony’s seemingly perfect life changes after his wife’s death.
He tries to take his own life but changes his decision. He decides to live a long life and do whatever he wants to.
