Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called out Elon Musk, and she said that her Twitter account stopped working afterward.
In case you missed it, the 33-year-old member of the House of Representatives criticized the billionaire and Twitter owner for wanting to start charging $8 a month to be verified on the social media site.
“Lmao at a billionaire earnestly trying to sell people on the idea that ‘free speech’ is actually a $8/mo subscription plan,” AOC tweeted, which caught Elon‘s attention.
He replied sarcastically, and then it looked like he asked the government official how much her goods cost.
After that, AOC said that she couldn’t see what people were saying on the app because “my Twitter mentions/notifications conveniently aren’t working.”
In a later tweet, she seemed to suggest that Elon might be to blame for the problems she was having as a way of getting back at him.
“Yo @elonmusk while I have your attention, why should people pay $8 just for their app to get bricked when they say something you don’t like,” she wrote. “This is what my app has looked like ever since my tweet upset you yesterday. What’s good? Doesn’t seem very free speechy to me.”
Here, you can see all of Elon’s changes to Twitter so far. Also, there’s a surprising report about how the app’s numbers are looking after his buyout.
Below are some of AOC’s tweets.
Also my twitter mentions/notifications conveniently aren’t working tonight, so I was informed via text that I seem to have gotten under a certain billionaire’s skin 😂
Just a reminder that money will never by your way out of insecurity, folks.

BUY*

One guy’s business plan for a $44 billion over-leveraged purchase is apparently to run around and individually ask people for $8.
Remember that next time you question yourself or your qualifications.
