Alita: Battle Angel 2 will soon start the production work and filming once the Disney-Fox merger is completed. While the Alita sequel is still not renewed, it might happen soon as Disney won’t say no to James Cameron and thousands of fans asking for the same.

Rosa Salazar will once again be seen portraying the character of cyborg in the upcoming Alita sequel. But she won’t be alone this time and will be joined by several new cast members who will play different characters from the manga. Alita: Battle Angel 2 Cast: Rosa Salazar will get New Friends and Enemies
Rosa Salazar will be the main character of the second Alita movie after she has won the Motorball tournament and earned her ticket to the city of Zalem. Dr. Dyson Ido (Christoph Waltz) who was like a father to Alita will be back once again in the sequel, although his role in Alita 2 might be limited. Nova played by Edward Norton could be the main villain in Alita: Battle Angel 2 after he was teased during the ending of the first movie.
Alita’s other friends and families have mostly been killed including Dr. Chiren (Jennifer Connelly) and her love interest Hugo (Keean Johnson), meaning she will be joined by new friends and enemies. There are a lot of characters from the Japanese manga which can be introduced in Alita sequel movie along with Rosa Salazar. It might be too early to have casting calls, but we might be hearing cast listings for Alita Battle Angel 2 movie very soon.
Alita: Battle Angel 2 Release Date and Production Updates
Alita: Battle Angel 2 will start production at Disney Studios and it is the main reason why the premiere date is getting delayed. Even if they start filming this year, it will still take 2-3 years for Alita sequel to release given it uses so much CGI and special effects. There are reports that Battle Angel: Alita 2 sequel will release somewhere in 2023 or 2024 which would be confirmed shortly.
