Alita: Battle Angel has finished its final run in the theaters and is standing at $404 million worldwide. The sequel for the movie was in talks and given it has collected its budget, was made sure. Now, the man behind the creation of Alita: Battle Angel, James Cameron has confirmed it. Alita: Battle Angel 2 is in works and will be released soon.
James Cameron Update on Alita: Battle Angel 2
The first movie in the series Alita: Battle Angel was delayed mainly because James Cameron was busy in making Avatar sequels. Finally, his friend and director Robert Rodriguez finished Alita: Battle Angel movie. Recently, James Cameron has revealed important details about Alita: Battle Angel 2.
Well, we obviously have a plan for the sequel, but it’s cheeky to set up a sequel before your first movie is proven. When we think of something like Warcraft movie which had sequels planned, and then it becomes the joke of the town when the film doesn’t succeed.
Not also the Producer James Cameron, the original director Robert Rodriguez also talked about the sequel. It seems that they have planned a whole trilogy of Alita: Battle Angel.

Alita: Battle Angel 2 and the future sequels will also be based on the Japanese anime and Manga series. Just like the first Alita: Battle Angel was based on Gunnm (Battle Angel Alita in English) by Yukito Kishiro.

The story of Alita: Battle Angel 2 will be more focused on Nova, the man behind everything that happened to Alita. We may finally get a chance to see more of the Zalem city and other motorball champions.
Release Date
Currently, there is no solid release date of Alita: Battle Angel 2 or any of the other part in the series. We all know James Cameron takes years to come up with a sequel. But given its success and popularity, and the fact that Robert Rodriguez is working, Alita: Battle Angel 2 can release in the starting of the year 2022.
