Alita: Battle Angel 2 Plot Spoilers: Nova is Ready to Face Alita in Zalem
Alita: Battle Angel sequel storyline will mostly be set in the city of Zalem which was teased majorly in the first part. It was the main reason why Alita’s love interest Hugo died when trying to climb up to Zalem and she vowed to take revenge. Alita’s adoptive father Dr. Ido informed her that the only way to reach Zalem is to win the Motorball tournament and get enough money for the trip.

Alita: Battle Angel 2 has not been renewed by Disney yet due to two main reasons. The first Alita movie despite earning $400 million worldwide was not a box office success due to its massive $170 million budget. Also, ever since Disney has acquired 20th Century Fox, they are so busy with new movie franchises that have come under their banner. It might take some time for Alita sequel to be confirmed but the creators, James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez are hoping for a 2023-24 release date.
