Alita: Battle Angel 2: creators plan Trilogy
Creator James Cameron and director Robert Rodriguez revealed their big plan for the future. The two are planning to have two sequels to Alita: Battle Angel, thus, a trilogy to be accurate.
Alita: Battle Angel 2 is expected to return on the big screen in the next couple of years. However, the team has not officially confirmed about the beginning of filming yet.
James Cameron reportedly has his hands busy with the sequels of “Avatar”.
Alita: Battle Angel 2: Trilogy storyline hints approval
In another report, Robert Rodriguez has reviewed the notes about the script and storyline of Alita: Battle Angel 2. James Cameron had mailed the notes of over 600 pages to director Robert Rodriguez.
The director Robert Rodriguez confirms the plan for the trilogy and reveals that James Cameron has notes of over 1,000 pages and he is yet to send the remaining. Rodriguez said:
“He (Cameron) told me he will not send all the 1,000 pages of notes but I’ll send you like 600…There’s like one whole document about the trilogy because that’s just part of his process. Here are three movies. Just so you know what to include in the first story and whatnot.”
Alita: Battle Angel 2 will soon be in production
In another statement, a source revealed the commencement of Alita: Battle Angel 2 production is confirmed. Fans will not have a reason to look forward to two and not just one sequel.
As per a report released by Forbes, 20th Century Fox would release Alita: Battle Angel in formats of DVD, Blue-ray, and Ultra HD 4K. The film will also be in Dolby vision and 4K DB in HDR10+ formats.
The DVD for Alita: Battle Angel is going to be available on Amazon on July 23, while the film will be digitally released on July 9. The digital format can be bought via Amazon and iTunes.
