At only 25 years old, Garrison Brown, the beloved son of Kody and Janelle Brown from Sister Wives, has passed away. His sudden passing has left a deep emptiness in the hearts of his mourning relatives.
On Tuesday, Janelle shared a statement on her Instagram account along with others who also posted it on their own accounts.
“Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown. He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”
According to TMZ, Garrison, the 25-year-old son of Janelle and Kody Brown from Sister Wives, has died in what appears to be a suicide.
Who was Robert Garrison Brown?
Robert Garrison Brown was born on April 10, 1998, and spent his childhood in Lehi, Utah. When he was fourteen, his family relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. Garrison graduated from Centennial High School in 2016.
The couple, Kody and Janelle Brown had six children in total. Brown was their fourth child, with two more siblings born after him.
When Garrison Brown appeared on TLC’s reality show, Sister Wives, he was just a child. The show, which followed Kody Brown and his four wives and 18 children, aired for 18 seasons.
Kody and Janelle Brown had a total of six children together. In 2022, the couple decided to separate, which reportedly had a significant impact on their children, particularly Garrison, according to Janelle’s statement.
She said,
“I have worried about my boys’ mental health. Gabriel feels everything very, very deeply. But he’s also the kid who doesn’t say anything…Garrison just seems angry or sadder, like, he’s not as happy-go-lucky as he used to be.”
During a May 2023 episode, Kody discussed the family conflicts that arose following his split from Janelle.
“I haven’t been in touch with Gabriel and Garrison for quite a while. I’m upset that I’m no longer close to them. There were so many beautiful experiences in our life that we shared.”
“I suppose and hope that in time, we’ll just get over it and feel safe being around each other again. Gabe and Garrison currently do not have a clear path forward. They aren’t eager to engage me.”
Over time, Kody’s bond with his children has worsened, as they have disagreed with him after voicing their dissatisfaction with his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
