Amanda Bynes was well-known for starring in several popular series and movies in the early 2000s. She had a tumultuous time in Hollywood, resulting in her being labeled as one of the notorious child stars who have fallen from grace. However, it looks like this might be about to change for the former actress.
Amanda Bynes’ New Career
After a few years of staying away from the public eye, Amanda Bynes made a surprising return to the world of podcasting with Paul Sieminski by her side.
On December 9, the 37-year-old debuted “Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast”, which is also available in video format. This is the first time Amanda has been on camera since her appearance in the 2010 comedy film Easy A.
Before the launch, the ex-Hollywood star went on Instagram to post a picture of her, Paul, and their guest, a tattoo artist from Los Angeles named Dahlia Moth, sitting on a couch together. The caption read,
“First episode of Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast done. Thank you @dahliamoth!”
The public was absolutely thrilled to hear of the former actress’ return to the limelight, with one person noting with joy,
“Can’t wait to hear what Amanda Bynes has to say on her new podcast! It’s been a long time since she’s had a platform to, you know, express herself.”
Another user added,
“Amanda Bynes has a new podcast which I am HYPE for, idc. The first episode she didn’t talk a lot but to hear her voice again after so many years!!!!! I love her, I hope she is doing better and I’m hype for more episodes.”
A user expressed their happiness after listening to the episode,
“Amanda Bynes sounds so confident and comfortable doing this podcast so happy she’s doing well.”
Several of Amanda’s fans were glad to have her back by showing their support, with one stating,
“She deserves all the love and support we can give!”
Amanda Bynes Drug Addiction
Despite the many speculations surrounding the life of the former child star that had been circulating in the media, it was only when the 32-year-old gave a detailed interview with Paper Magazine in 2018 that we got to know the reality.
She said,
“I started smoking marijuana when I was 16. Even though everyone thought I was the ‘good girl,’ I did smoke marijuana from that point on,” she told the outlet. “I didn’t get addicted (then) and I wasn’t abusing it. And I wasn’t going out and partying or making a fool of myself… yet.”
She continued, saying she had gone from marijuana to trying Molly and ecstasy, and had also tried cocaine, but didn’t like it. She had also pretended to have symptoms of attention deficit disorder to get Adderall, as she thought it would help her stay slim.
After watching her performance in Easy A, the star was so moved that she decided to quit acting. She admitted,
“I saw it and I was convinced that I should never be on camera again and I officially retired on Twitter, which was, you know, also stupid.”
Following that, Bynes became extremely involved with taking drugs and was stuck in the house, doing drugs, watching TV, and tweeting.
Since then, the star has mostly been kept out of the public eye, but now she has returned with a new purpose – to explore the realm of podcasting.
