A source close to Johnny Depp said that he would make a promise and then give the $1M to several charities. Another source says that, despite what Amber Heard says, the judgment can still be used against her in the future if she makes the same false accusations.

Amber Heard is ending the defamation case that her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, brought against her. This decision is going to cost her $700,000, which is a lot of money.
The actress just released a long statement saying that she has reached a settlement with Johnny instead of going through with her appeal, which she just did. Amber Heard says,
This is not an act of concession. There are no restrictions or gags with respect to my voice moving forward.
Sources say that Amber Heard will pay Johnny just $1 million, but that the money will come from her insurance company and not from her own pocket.
