Several reliable sources say that Amber Heard is quitting acting and moving with her daughter to Madrid, Spain. This comes after Amber Heard’s controversial and widely watched trial, where her ex-husband Johnny Depp sued her for libel. Recent news also said that her part in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was cut down a lot.
In a recent article, the Daily Mail stated,
I can reveal that Heard has quit Hollywood and quietly relocated to Spain with her young daughter Oonagh.
A close friend of Amber Heard’s told Daily Mail’s Alison Boshoff that
She’s bilingual in Spanish and is happy there, raising her daughter away from all the noise.
Since the troubled actress sold her million-dollar home in Yucca Valley, California, this summer, moving out of the country makes sense. The undisclosed friend kept talking about Amber Heard’s decision and how it wouldn’t last forever. The friend added,
I don’t think she is in any hurry to return to work or to Hollywood, but she will probably come back when the time is right, for the right project.
In 2012, Amber Heard started dating Depp, and the two got married in 2015.
They got a divorce in 2017, which led to a heated trial in which Depp sued Heard after she said in public that he had hurt her. The trial revealed many shocking things about Heard that hurt her reputation and made it hard for her to get new roles. Heard was told to pay Depp $10 million and $350,000 in punitive damages in June 2022. In April 2021, Heard’s daughter, Oonagh, was born through a surrogate.
Before all the trouble she got into, Heard had a successful acting career. Heard has been in the movies Friday Night Lights, Pineapple Express, Machete Kills, and 3 Days to Kill. In 2018, she became known for her role as Mera in DC’s Aquaman. She also appeared in the CBS All Access show The Stand. Heard will have a very limited appearance in the next Aquaman movie. It is not clear if or when Heard will act again.
