Euphoria actor Angus Cloud who was best known for playing the role of Fezco in the hit HBO series has died at the age of 25. The actor’s death was confirmed by his family on Monday, July 31, 2023.
Angus Cloud Found Dead At 25
Angus Cloud was well-known for his role as Fezco or Fez in the hit HBO series, where he played a drug dealer and shared screen space with Zendaya. Cloud gained popularity due to Euphoria and also acted in several independent movies such as North Hollywood and The Line. He also had an upcoming project, Freaky Tales where he will star as posthumously.
Cloud’s death was confirmed by his family members in a statement to TMZ which read,
“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.”
The family also stated that Cloud was dealing with suicidal thoughts after he lost his father last week.
“Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”
They also demanded privacy at this time to deal with this heavy loss.
“We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
How Did The Euphoria Star Die?
While the family did not reveal the cause of Angus Cloud’s death, it seemed quite probable that Cloud committed suicide. TMZ reported that according to Oakland PD and Fire Department, Cloud’s mother had called 911 stating a “possible overdose.” The medical responders that reached the 25-year-old’s home to investigate his body stated that he did not have a pulse and was pronounced dead.
A source also reported that Angus Cloud was battling suicidal thoughts since he returned from Ireland where he and his family buried his father’s body. He was staying with his family in Oakland to overcome the grief of his father’s death. It is speculated that the Euphoria star took his own life by overdosing on drugs.
