Josh Duggar, a former reality television personality from the TLC series 19 Kids and Counting, is a convicted sex offender. However, his wife Anna Duggar is standing by her husband in these challenging times. He is currently facing a 151-month sentence for his child pornography conviction at FCI Seagoville in Dallas, Texas. A family member has now revealed that Anna is regularly visiting her husband in the facility with her seven kids.” Duggar’s trial lasted two weeks. Ultimately, the jury submitted a guilty verdict.
The insider tells the media, “We’ve seen Anna at visitation fairly regularly. I’ve spoken to Anna a couple of times. Normally the only thing I’ve seen is Anna and then their kids, I don’t really know anybody else.” The source further explains how it’s tough for loved ones to see their family member in prison and how they are not allowed to wear provocative clothing. They continue, “It’s kind of a crapshoot on whatever they’re going to say is out of policy today. I’ve had a guard tell me that I had too many bobby pins in my hair to go in or like my mask was the wrong color.”
Anna Duggar regularly visits Josh Duggar in prison with their seven kids
Josh Duggar was arrested and charged with possessing and receiving child pornography in April 2021. They further say, “They tried to turn me away because I was wearing a dress. I had worn the same dress the week before and they said it was fine, but this time they said it was too sexually provocative. There’s always a delay. A couple of weeks back, they said that the electricity was down. It goes in and out all the time so they use it as an excuse to make us wait for a couple of hours before we could get in. Visitation is supposed to start at 8:15am and run until 3:30pm. I get there around 7:00am just to be early in the line because it’s first come, first serve.”
U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Arkansas previously explained the charges Josh Duggar was brought with. The court documents reveal that Joshua James Duggar, 33, allegedly used the internet to download child sexual abuse material, Duggar allegedly possessed this material, some of which depicts the sexual abuse of children under the age of 12, in May 2019. Duggar himself shares Mackynzie, 12, Michael, 10, Marcus, 8, Meredith, 6, Mason, 4, and Maryella, 2, and welcomed daughter Madyson in October 2021, six months after Josh’s arrest.
Reality of visitation hours in prison
The family member continues, “They start processing us anytime between 8:15am to 9:30am. Just kind of whenever they feel like it. Then usually they’ll end at around 2:30pm or 3:00pm. Sometimes there’s food in the vending machines, but often it’ll go for weeks at a time with nothing. It’s very uncomfortable. Partners are allowed to have a kiss and a hug at the beginning and the end of visitation. Up until a couple of weeks ago they actually allowed inmates and visitors to hold hands. It was really lovely.”
The family member concludes, “But they rotated another guard onto the shift and now they’re not allowing that anymore.” An insider previously revealed, “The food they get is regularly expired. They’re just like really disgustingly expired, always by at least a couple of weeks. And it’s like milk. All sorts of like stuff that can’t be expired for that long. They had a run of cereal that had bugs in it, and so people just couldn’t eat their cereal because it was filled with bugs.” Duggar blamed his co-worker for the crimes while filing his appeal. Moreover, Duggar’s release date on the Bureau of Federal Prisons website is August 22, 2032.
