Apex Legends reached the 25-Million player mark in less than a week! After this incredible response to the game, one wonders if there is a plan for Apex Legends for Mobile.
For those who may not be aware, Apex Legends arrived for PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC last week. The game follows a ‘Battle Royal’ format similar to what we’ve seen in the likes of PUBG and Fortnite in the past. This game is developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts.
Respawn Entertainment is also known for their work with the Titanfall series. However, let us take a closer look at Apex Legends for Mobile:
Apex Legends for Mobile: Is it Going to Happen?
The CEO of EA Andrew Wilson has commented on the possibility of Apex Legends for Mobile. He said that EA is definitely considering the possibility of having the game ported for mobile platforms. Wilson did not commit to any date as to when we can expect an Android or iOS version of Apex Legends for Mobile.
However, considering how hot the mobile phone markets are when it comes to Battle Royale-themed games, EA should indeed be coming out with an Android and iOS version of Apex Legends soon.
Apex Legends for Mobile: PUBG and Fortnite Threatened?
As of now, Fortnite is the biggest Battle Royale game across all platforms. Following the thundering success it got – Fortnite released for Android and iOS, as well as for Nintendo Switch.
PUBG too, is another major name in that segment. If Apex Legends for Mobile does enter the market – it is going to have an impact on these two games, especially considering that 25 Million players are already playing the game on non-mobile devices.
