The battle royale game has reached new heights of popularity and now it wants to compete with the likes of PUBG and Fortnite which are currently ruling the mobile games industry. But it seems that Apex Legends mobile release date will have a delay due to the Coronavirus outbreak in China and the launch date will most probably be postponed.
Apex Legends Mobile Release Date Delay due to Coronavirus
Apex Legends mobile development will most probably be a collaboration between EA and Tencent which has also developed the major battle royale games for small screens. But ever since the Coronavirus outbreak has hit China, the entire tech industry has come to a standstill. Most of the upcoming video games have been delayed, production of iPhone 12 is halted, even the release of the new James Bond movie ‘No Time to Die’ has been postponed 7 months due to Covid-19 danger.
Electronic Arts has confirmed they're working with a partner in China to create a mobile Apex Legends that will be released globally.

Tencent operates from China and almost the entire country is on lockdown, there is no way Apex Legends mobile or any other title gets a timely launch. Apex Legends for mobile was already taking longer due to complex gameplay and now coronavirus outbreak has delayed it even further.
Apex Legends Mobile Development and Future Updates
Apex Legends Mobile release date was estimated at the end of 2020 earlier but now it will be shifted to 2021 or even later. There are no official updates from EA or Tencent whether the game is in development or not. EA has only confirmed that they are working on Apex Legends mobile and apart from that, nothing about the schedule, launch event or gameplay features have been shared. The mobile development for Apex Legends will take at least a year but it will only resume once the Coronavirus outbreak is under control.
