Apex Legends is, without the shadow of a doubt, one of the hottest games of 2019 so far. The battle royale themed game has gained millions of users already and is likely to give a stiff competition to PUBG and Fortnite once it comes out for smartphones.

Publisher Electronic Arts had confirmed in the past that there are indeed plans to launch an Apex Legends for Mobile game.

While there is no certain date for when Apex Legends for Mobile will come out, we can make an assumption based on other battle royale games.
PUBG Mobile released in March 2018 – almost a quarter after the game came out for PC in December 2017.
Similarly, Fortnite released for PC and Consoles in September 2017 but the iOS version came in April 2018 while the Android version came out in August 2018!
Going by these estimates, we should not expect it before late into Q2 2019.
Will it be a threat to PUBG Mobile and Fortnite?
The biggest challenge that Apex Legends for mobile is that a significant portion of the markets is dominated by PUBG and Fortnite.
However, given that it has managed to eat away a significant market share of these games in consoles, there is no reason to believe that Apex Legends for iOS and Android won’t be a success!
