Apple’s latest iOS update came out last week in the form of iOS 12.1.4. The company is now working on another upgrade, which will bump the iOS version up to iOS 12.2. Given that the iOS 12.1.4 update has got the users frustrated over battery issues, this next update is eagerly awaited!
Let us take a closer look at the iOS 12.2 update – release date, as well as what to expect from the update.
iOS 12.2 Release Date: When Will The Update Come Out?
The release date has not been confirmed by Apple as of now. However, we expect that this upgrade to the iOS will be made official during Apple’s Spring event. The company is all set to host an event on at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California on the 25th of March.
At this event, we expect Apple to introduce the iOS 12.2 update (which will be the last major update before iOS 13). The company is also expected to launch new hardware devices at the event.
iOS 12.2 New Features: What to Expect?
Do not expect any major changes to the iOS with this update. This iOS update is only coming out as an update which resolves some problems and bugs in the previous versions. The update will smoothen the ground before iOS 13 starts rolling out in September 2019.
iOS 12.2 Compatible Devices
This update will roll out for all iPhone and iPad devices which are currently on iOS 12. This is likely the last major update for older smartphones such as the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus.
