There are also some rumors that iOS 14 release date can be delayed due to the impact of Coronavirus pandemic. Here are more details on Apple iOS 14 update launch date and event along with new upgrades in Find My app and AirTags support.
Apple iOS 14 New Features and Updates
The iOS 14 update will add certain new features in the Find My app which allows Apple users to track their friends and families via iPhones. The Find My app allows tracking of users who share their locations and send out the updates to the other user.

As per the reports, iOS 14 will also keep track of time and notify a user when the other party has not reached the destination or has left the selected location earlier. It will be useful for parents to keep an eye on their child whether they reach school on time, are attending classes and not exiting early before the classes are over. Apple iOS 14 will also introduce support for AirTags which are little trackers using ultra-wideband technology for tracking objects.
Apple iOS 14 Release Date and Coronavirus Impact
Apple iOS 14 release date has not been announced yet but the OS update will most likely be launched at the WWDC 2020 event happening around June 1. Even though the format of WWDC is changed this year and it will be an online event, people are expecting things could get delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Most of the countries are under lockdown right now due to the Covid-19 outbreak and productivity has decreased hugely. Apple is still confident that it will deliver the iOS 14 update on time as most of the software engineers are working from home. The normal iPhone users can expect to receive iOS 14 updates from September 2020 when the new iPhone 12 will also be released.
