Apple iPhone 12 release date could be largely affected by the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic which has affected almost the whole world. The Covid-19 infection is now a global outbreak and industries all over the world are being shut down. Apple factories across China are also forced to shut down and the March launch event for new products is also canceled.
Fans are also worried that the iPhone 12 launch can also be delayed due to the Coronavirus crisis. But the tech experts are saying it won’t affect the regular iPhone model as measures will be taken. Although, Apple users will have to wait a bit more for the 5G iPhone 12 model as it could be delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Apple iPhone 12 Release Schedule and Coronavirus Impact
Coronavirus is now a global pandemic that has disrupted small and large businesses worldwide but Apple still has chances to avoid serious delays to the iPhone 12 smartphone. The virus outbreak has forced the Apple Chinese factories to shut down all over the country. But as per some news reports, the Apple factories were able to test the new versions of the iPhone series before getting shut down.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and Debby Wu, the upcoming iPhone 12 models are still on track for a fall release despite coronavirus delays. However, a source told Bloomberg that Apple’s supply chain is still not operating at normal speed. pic.twitter.com/L6TUjYik7q

Apple will try to keep the supply chain undisturbed so that it can mass-produce the device casings in April. The rest of the processes such as final assembly, testing, and packaging will be completed once the Coronavirus pandemic is over, around May or later. Although, there are some contrary reports which say Apple might not be able to send their Engineers to China for testing of iPhone 12 mobiles, which can delay their annual September launch process.
5G iPhone 12 will be Delayed till November
Apple iPhone 12 will have 5G connectivity by using the Qualcomm’s X55 chip for 5G support. But the 5G models could come a bit late as compared to the regular iPhone 12 mobiles.
There is a 5G iPhone 12, but it’s majorly delayed. May not see it until November

The reason for the delay could be the Coronavirus pandemic or the size of 5G antennas that could lead to an increase in the dimensions of the iPhone 12 body. Jon Prosser, who is a popular Apple scooper has predicted that 5G iPhone 12 is delayed and will not be launched before November 2020.
