Unlike the usual headphones where one has to check the left and right earphones, Apple’s new over ear headphones detects left- right ear and adjust accordingly. Another key feature is that it uses beam forming technology so that the sound from the speaker is adjusted to the room’s space and shape.
By this technology, Siri commands can also be easily heard even when the music is played with full volume. Another cool feature is it automatically detects the closest microphone to the user’s mouth among the five microphones in the ear cup and uses it, which means that it would reduce any unwanted noise in the background.

This news first came in February in a KGI report. Then a Bloomberg report reconfirmed it, which also said that the product was expected to be in retail shops next year. But no one could predict what the Apple patents would do.
