The View had Barbara Corcoran of ABC’s Shark Tank on the show. She made an off-putting joke that everyone is talking about, so who knows what she was talking about.
The new guest host on the show was Emma Grede, co-founder of the Good American clothing brand. Things got weird when they began talking about jeans. Goldberg inquired if the jeans would fit in her size. Barbara made a rude, inappropriate joke at the expense of Whoopi.
“When you get finished with those jeans and decide you don’t like them, give them to me. I’m gonna make two pairs,” Barbara said with a laugh. Instantly, Whoopi’s face dropped.
The audience booed the bad joke and she looked burned.
The cohosts were not comfortable with the moment. Ana was also ruffled by the fact that Whoopi looked pretty mad. She came back at Barbara.
“Wait, wait, wait. Whoopi, let me just tell you something,” Ana interjected. “Sara Haines and Jill Biden wore that dress already on TV.” Barbara had a floral dress.
Ana wasn’t here for the joke. What was Barb thinking when she said that? Don’t come for her! Not on her show.
Barb, that was not very professional for a business professional.
The interaction was cringe-worthy to watch, but Barbara later apologized for the comment.
“I just came back from ‘The View’ and saw my old friend Whoopi. She has a phenomenal sense of humor, and I’ve known Whoopi for years,” Barb said in a video shared on her Twitter.
“I made a joke at Whoopi’s expense, which I now realize wasn’t funny. For anyone who I may have offended unintentionally, I just wanted to say I really am very sorry.”
