Ben Affleck will reprise his role in the sequel, according to the actor.
The actor took to social media to confirm that he will be reprising his role as Batman in the movie Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
The Aquaman star shared a picture of himself and his co-star in California on Thursday with the caption: Bruce Wayne and Arthur Curry are the DC superhero alter egos.
The Warner Bros studio lot has a door where you can see the initials of Batman on it.
“WB studio tours just explored the backlot alright. Busted on set all great things coming in Aquaman 2. All my aloha J,” he concluded in the caption.
The Gone Girl actor – who recently got married to Jennifer Lopez – previously announced his retirement as Batman in 2019 and has been open about the personal and professional struggles that came with the role.
Two years ago, it came as a surprise to fans when it was announced that he would reprise his role as The Flash in the upcoming movie.
Batman v Superman: was the first movie that Affleck starred in. In Suicide Squad, Dawn of Justice starred as a cameo. He was a part of the Justice League, along with Momoa.
The actor spoke to The New York Times in July of 2020 and said that he saw the new Batman script before he was cast in the role. He was told that the role would make him emotional.
“I showed somebody the Batman script,” Affleck told the publication. “They said, ‘I think the script is good. I also think you’ll drink yourself to death if you go through what you just went through again.'”
It looks like he will play a big part in the next sequel.
James Wan will be directing the movie, which will feature Nicole Kidman, Patrick Wilson, and Amber Heard.
The film will be released in cinemas on 17 March, 2023.
