Ben Simmons received advice from Kobe Bryant to improve his gameplay. Kobe noticed that Simmons lacked shooting skills and advised him to improve his jump shot. It’s been a long time since Kobe gave this advice, but it seems like Ben did not take it seriously and he is been lacking shooting skills. There was not much improvement in that part of the game, and fans noticed that too. He is been good with rebounds and the defensive part, but he needs to expand his game on the offensive part to come into the league of top players.
Kobe’s advice for Ben Simmons
During an interview in 2019, talking about Ben Simmons Kobe gave very important advice to him. He said:
Well, he gotta get a jump shot. Listen, it sounds humorous and all that, but I’m dead-a** serious. Because if not he’ll regret it when his career is over. And you look at what he is doing now without that and it is astonishing. Now imagine you can shoot the ball, what does that open up for you? You don’t want to retire and look back and go ‘Man, if I just had a jump shot, what would I have done? You don’t want that. You don’t want that. So I don’t care if you have to lock yourself in the gym for 10 hours a day. If this kid gets a jump shot, it’s a serious, serious problem. I mean a serious, serious problem. So to answer your question, the sky’s the limit for him. He can be as good as he wants to be.
This advice was accurate, but the sad part is Ben Simmons didn’t take it seriously. This wasn’t the first time that Kobe advised the young players, he used to guide the young players, and that’s one of the qualities that makes him one of the greatest athletes.

Ben Simmons’ poor performance on the offensive end
Ben Simmons must be regretting his casual attitude and not taking advice of Bryant seriously. He hasn’t been good on the offensive end, and that’s one of the reasons for the Sixers falling behind. He must have worked on his shooting skills.

Simmons’s bad shooting skills were spotted by many fans right from the time he came in but his not working on it is a really sad part. Well, it’s not that late; he still has time to improve. Hope he takes the advice of legend Kobe and works accordingly from now on.
