Something wicked is coming our way and everyone is totally excited about it. Freeform has made an announcement about its Hocus Pocus 25th anniversary special last month. And one month later comes the news that Bette Midler, the original star, would be joining it as well. This came as a great news for the fans as they weren’t expecting her to be a part of the special event.
Bette Midler recently posted a video on the YouTube page of Freeform assuming Winifred Sanderson’s voice, the character played by her in Hocus Pocus, said that Sanderson sister’s celebration is incomplete without Winifred.
Kathy Najimy, Thora Birch and Sarah Jessica Parker will also be attending the special event which will be aired on 20 October. Midler tweeted,

Midler played the role of the oldest sister in the movie and is loved the most by all fans.
Since we will see all the Sanderson sisters together for this event, the fans are going crazy and can’t contain their excitement. Everyone is making special plans for it. Midler has even posted a lot of videos and pictures from the film on Instagram before revealing the big news.
So anyone who has been following her religiously on the social media won’t be much surprised by the news.
There were some rumors about a sequel coming up as a 25th century anniversary and some fake promos were also circulated on the social media. Everyone was expecting a sequel, but the event will be equally special as well. The fans still have a hope that they will get to see the sequel some day.
The Hocus Pocus fans can rush to theaters this Halloween as the film is returning to certain theaters for a limited period. So go and book your tickets before they are sold out. You wouldn’t want to miss this opportunity!
