An Island Fit for a Queen
Everyone knows Beyoncé knows how to celebrate in style, and her 42nd birthday was no exception. With Jay-Z and their three children – Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir – by her side, Queen Bey reportedly whisked her family away to the posh confines of Mermaid Bay. Nestled within the premium French Polynesia resort, The Brando, it was a birthday getaway fit for music royalty.
According to sources, the couple and their kids made the main residence of the resort their abode for the celebrations. This luxurious spot doesn’t come cheap, with a price tag of $20,000 a night. From private pools to a dedicated butler service, the villa redefines privacy, complemented by sustainable construction “using natural and modern materials.”
The couple’s guests weren’t left in any less luxury, having their pick of the other ten villas. Each of these stays is decked out with one to three bedrooms and also comes with its own private pool.
A Peek into The Celebrations
But it wasn’t just about relaxation and luxury. Beyoncé, in between stops of her “Renaissance” tour, treated fans to glimpses of her birthday festivities. An Instagram post showed her with parents, Tina and Mathew Knowles. The pop diva was also seen celebrating with Jay-Z, surrounded by disco ball-themed decorations, a cake, and balloons.
A Birthday Bash to Remember
Not one to restrict her birthday festivities to private islands and luxury resorts, Beyoncé also marked her special day with a massive performance. Her birthday show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. wasn’t just any performance. Among those in the audience were some of the biggest names in entertainment, from Meghan Markle and the Kardashians to Timothée Chalamet and Jeff Bezos. In a memorable moment, Diana Ross graced the stage to sing “Happy Birthday” to Beyoncé.
Expressing her gratitude, an emotional Beyoncé shared with the audience, “My soul is full. I’m so thankful, I’m trying not to cry. I’m thankful to be alive. I’m thankful to be on stage. I’m thankful to look out and see your faces.”
And while most would need a decent break after such celebrations, the pop star was back on the road soon after. By Monday, she was performing in Vancouver, Canada, with another show lined up in Seattle just a few days later.
Beyoncé’s representative has yet to comment on the details of the star’s birthday bash.
