The fans have been waiting eagerly for the news episodes of The Big Bang Theory and the spin-off show Young Sheldon. Sadly, they would have to wait a bit longer and the TV shows will not release a fresh episode until next week. CBS’ scheduling is the reason behind this delay.
It is a crucial time for both the series. “The Big Bang Theory” will end after Season 12, while “Young Sheldon” is ready to become the #1 comedy show of the channel which has been renewed for two years.
“Young Sheldon” made its debut back in 2017 and has been independent before the crossover event took place. “Young Sheldon” is all about a young boy living in Galveston, Texas along with his family. “The Big Bang Theory” talks about the Pasadena crew. The two shows together make up for a perfect comedy block every Thursday on CBS.
Instead of new episodes, the fans can watch the previous episodes of the shows. The reruns of “The VCR Illumination” from The Big Bang Theory, while “A Research Study and Czechoslovakian Wedding Pastries” from Young Sheldon will be aired. Fans are a little frustrated due to the delay.
It is quite unusual of the show to act this way. Being a rating juggernaut for CBS, the show has hardly missed a week during times like these. People already know that this is the finale season of the show. So they are a little impatient when it comes to the future of their favorite actors.
As Young Sheldon and The Big Bang Theory are connected, their air time also mirror one another. The principle of the sweep period is also applicable here. The two shows are likely to conclude in May as the taping day is scheduled on 30 April.
