Billie Eilish started out young and has achieved what most artists do not in their entire careers. The extremely talented singer can flaunt a bunch of accolades and medals. However, her music has always been able to speak to the soul. Plus, she’s been putting us in touch with our emotions when she was merely 13 years old. Now that she stands on a pedestal, she was asked about her ways of dealing with attention. Superstars as young as Eilish tend to break down with the pressure but she goes strong. However, she does have some remarks for her 13-year-old self.
Eilish invited a group of young activists to join her new cover story for Vogue. Climate activist Tori Tsui asked the singer “how she deals with the weight of millions of people’s expectations.” Billie Eilish replied, “It’s wild. In my head, nobody knows who I am. Nobody knows what I look like. I was 13 when I put stuff out for the first time. I look back at who I was, when fewer eyes were on me.” She continued, “I grieve that. I strive to be that kid again.”
Billie Elish talks to her 13-year-old self
It all began for Billie Eilish when she uploaded ‘Ocean Eyes’ on Soundcloud. The song is penned by her brother Finneas O’Connell and performed by Eilish when she was 13 years old. Eight years later, she has won seven Grammies and released two chart-topping albums. She has also broken several streaming records. Billie Eilish breaks the Internet every time she drops a track. She once said, “I have to remind myself what my life actually is to the outside world, because I just forget sometimes. My life really, honestly feels the same as it did when I was a child.”
Moreover, Billie Eilish is now dating Jesse Rutherford and is doing fairly well. She says, “I’m really happy about it. I managed to get my way to a point in my life where I not only was known by a person that I thought was the hottest f**king f**ker alive, but pulled his a**. Round of applause for me…all me…I did that s**t. I locked that motherf***er down.”
