This might be a surprise to a few people, but there is still no confirmation about who will wear the black suit of Black Widow. Digital Spy reported that it is highly likely that Scarlett Johansson will play the lead role (Duh!).
Johansson confirmed that the Black Widow movie will offer plenty of room to explore the story line. The character has a great back story and she also has many places to go.
The plot of the Black Widow movie might bring her back to Russia, which is her motherland. Or they might also make her explore the Widow programme.
There have also been reports about the inclusion of Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) in this spin off movie. Even Stan has shared a few interesting ideas for the upcoming spin off movie.
He said that Bucky was a mentor to Black Widow in the comics. He is probably interested in the Cold War time period. But, nothing has been confirmed as of now.
Who is going to be cast for the movie?
There have also been rumours that Harry Potter actress, Emma Watson might join the cast too. That Hashtag Show has reported that she is quite the favorite choice to play the co-lead role. But, she is not the only choice. The others in the list include Dar Zuzovsky, Alice Englert and Florence Pugh.
The villain in the Black Widow movie might be played by Andre Holland. Apparently, the Moonlight star auditioned for the role, but we still don’t know if he has landed it or not. The other choices for the role include Sebastian Koch, Rachel Weisz, and Alec Baldwin.
With so many upcoming releases on the horizon for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we might have to wait for this movie. It might possibly release somewhere between 2020 to 2022.
