Blue Exorcist Season 3 is being awaited eagerly by fans. The manga Blue Exorcist by Kazue Kato has been adapted into an anime series. The adventures of Satan’s offspring, Rin Okumura and his twin brother Yukio, are chronicled in this famed series. Yukio became an exorcist to shield his brother Rin from the demons’ abilities. Fans would be delighted to know that Blue Exorcist Season 3 had already been announced during Jump Festa 2023. Unfortunately, there is still a dearth of information about the exact release date. Indications and speculation point to Season 3 of Blue Exorcist continuing the storyline established in the manga rather than serving as a prequel or sequel.
There is sufficient source material to adapt the manga, which currently contains over 130 chapters. The Illuminati arc is the most likely to be adopted next since it introduces Lucifer and his attempts to restore Satan. So expect the third season to be full of twists and turns.
Blue Exorcist Season 3 Release Date
As of November 2022, 28 volumes of Kazue Kato’s manga series have been published. The Kyoto Saga portion of the manga was collected from volumes 1–17. There are still eleven volumes to be animated, which might keep the show going for at least another season.
A third season of Blue Exorcist would take at least two years to produce if A-1 Pictures decided to create it and if there was enough manga material to work with. Therefore, the most probable premiere window for Blue Exorcist Season 3 would be late 2023 or early 2024. The series would be released on Crunchyroll, Netflix and Hulu.
