According to rumors, Cash App founder Bob Lee was murdered.
Lee, 43, was the creator of Square Inc.’s mobile payment service app.
He was also MobileCoin’s chief product officer.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, around 2:35 a.m. on Tuesday, they got a report of a stabbing and discovered a 43-year-old man with stab wounds.
The technology executive is reported to have died later at a hospital.
According to the police, “officers rendered aid and summoned medics to the scene.”
“With life-threatening injuries, the victim was taken to a local hospital.”
“Despite efforts by first responders and medical personnel, the victim succumbed to his injuries.”

Although the authorities have not confirmed the victim’s identity, sources have told NBC Bay Area that the victim is Bob Lee.
Friends informed the San Francisco Standard that he was in the area on business and had opted to spend an additional day when he was stabbed.
Joshua Goldbard, the CEO of MobileCoin, told KGO of San Francisco: “Bob was a force of nature. He helped to birth Android and CashApp into our world.”
“Moby was his vision: a privacy-protecting wallet for the twenty-first century.” Every day, I will miss him.”

The homicide unit of the police department is investigating the incident, and no arrests have been made as of early Wednesday.
MobileCoin has yet to publish a remark on the subject.
On social media, tributes have poured in, with former MMA fighter Jake Shields recalling the tech CEO as a “loyal friend.”
Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, has also expressed his sympathies on the platform, saying he is ‘very sorry’ to learn about Bob Lee’s passing.

Bob Lee was a digital industry pioneer, working on projects like Android, Square, and Cash App.
He was also a privacy advocate and the chief product officer of MobileCoin, a cryptocurrency focused on privacy.
