Boruto Chapter 79 summary and Chapter 80 predictions
Momoshiki is pressed by Boruto for an answer, but he is vague. Shikamaru directs the search for Kawaki and warns the sensors to be alert for the moment when Kawaki runs out of energy and his chakra signature reappears. The goal of the team is to find Kawaki before Moegi stops them. After Konohamaru and Sasuke decide to continue the hunt for Kawaki, he commands Sarada and Mitsuki to transport Boruto to the hospital. Mitsuki abandons Sarada after they go in order to join the search. She thinks back to Mitsuki’s comments regarding what he would do if Boruto were to be killed. She is warned by Boruto not to leave Mitsuki alone because he has lost his composure and is now a threat.

Sarada pursues him. Sukunahikona shrinks back to its regular size when Kawaki runs out of chakra, which happens while a search party is nearby. Daemon and Sumire are left in his wake once Ada spots him carrying the Senrigan and takes off after him. Amado contacts Shikamaru and begs him not to kill Kawaki while disclosing that he has the ability to order a shutdown, much like Delta did. While acknowledging Amado’s need for Kawaki for Akebi, Shikamaru chastises him for continuing to conceal secrets from them and, further upsetting Amado, insists that Kawaki should be killed if he doesn’t fully surrender.
Ada and Kawaki have a spark
Kawaki is found by Ada, who tells him she is on his side. He claims that she is exposing him by being unable to conceal her presence. She promises to defend him. He clarifies that he only cares about Naruto, emphasizing that if Momoshiki isn’t killed, Naruto and Konoha, which Naruto battled to defend, will both be lost. Kawaki snatches Ada and laments the fact that Boruto is Momoshiki’s vessel. He wonders who could have the guts to kill the Hokage’s son and turn so many comrades against one another. He also questions why it could have been a nobody that no one would have noticed.
When they are floating, something sets off, spreading a flash across the entire world. Daemon, who is searching for Ada, and everyone else notices it. Ada and Kawaki are found by the search party. At Boruto, Momoshiki sneers. Ada stops Kawaki from attacking the search crew by warning him that something is strange. Both their position and Boruto’s location are immediately communicated to Shikamaru. Sarada finds it odd that Boruto’s whereabouts would be disclosed.

Ada’s true abilities are revealed
Boruto is teasingly instructed to turn around by Momoshiki. When Mitsuki and Sarada discover him, he asks Sarada what happened. She wants to learn the answer as well. They both get a shock as Mitsuki orders her to keep her distance before switching to Sage Mode and preparing to assault Boruto. Kawaki is perplexed when one of the shinobi inquires about the injury to his eye. Ada inquires about Naruto and calls him Kawaki’s father. The shinobi replies that the only thing they are certain of is that Boruto had done something. When Mitsuki inquires as to what Boruto did to Naruto, Boruto is baffled, and Momoshiki alerts him of Mitsuki attacking from below.
Sarada is perplexed as to how Mitsuki could harm Boruto. Informing Boruto that everyone is out to get him, Momoshiki adds that this is the true purpose of Ada’s power to seduce others—the Omnipotence shinjutsu she cannot control. He compares it to a computer language that the gods employed to make the universe and everything else. Momoshiki explains that contrary to what Amado might have assumed based on the consequences, her charm was only a reflection of her wants to be made manifest through the shinjutsu. He recounts how Ada made Kawaki’s wish come true by switching their places in the collective memory.

Boruto is now an outcast in Boruto Chapter 80
Ada declines Shikamaru’s request for more details about Naruto and Hinata’s disappearance because she doesn’t believe they will be helpful. Kawaki instructs her to claim that Boruto killed Naruto. As he continues, Momoshiki claims that everyone’s consciousness is connected by chakra and that a god has the power to alter it. He then asks Boruto if he has ever considered the possibility that a tsutsuki who attained godhood may have altered humanity’s memory in the past.
Ada as the user, and those who have been Ōtsutsukified are unaffected by Omnipotence, he continues, and Sarada doesn’t appear to be either. He emphasizes that those who are immune to it suffer the most. Momoshiki summarises that Kawaki is now the Hokage’s son, who was born and raised in Konoha, while Boruto is now the target of the hunt and an unappreciative outsider.
