Boruto: A Quick Recap Till Chapter 80
Kawaki has vowed to protect Naruto and gift him a world full of peace. To accomplish this mission, he decided to wipe off any existence of the Otsutsuki members, even if that meant finishing off his loved ones. Kawaki’s doubts were confirmed about Momoshiki being inside Boruto when he witnessed Boruto talking to himself.
It was difficult for Kawaki to even confront Boruto in Naruto and Hinata’s presence, so he sent them off to another dimension where time runs slowly. This made it easier for Kawaki to fight against Boruto. Using Eida’s omnipotence ninjutsu, Kawaki swapped the realities with Boruto, and now the entire Leaf Village believes that Boruto has killed their Seventh Hokage.
Except for Sarada and Sumire, for reasons unknown, the entire Leaf Village was under Eida’s omnipotence ninjutsu, enraged and ready to finish off Boruto. However, at Sarada’s request, Sasuke reached just in time to pick up his disciple and run away from the Leaf village.

Based on the raw scans of the latest chapter, it appears history is repeating itself. As Naruto Shippuden fans know, Naruto was willing to do anything to locate Sasuke. In the Boruto Leaks raw scans, we see Sarada arguing with Shikamaru to defend Boruto.

Mitsuki teams up with Kawaki to fight Boruto at any cost. Mitsuki is known to have been fond of Boruto. After the swapping incident, even when after teaming up with Kawaki, Mitsuki’s doubts about Kawaki remains intact. The upcoming chapters would be much more intriguing following Boruto and Sasuke’s return to the Leaf Village after four years.
