However, few fans doubt Shikamaru’s capabilities as a Hokage. Shikamaru is regarded as the wisest of all, so it is quite perplexing to see him not questioning why Naruto’s greatest friend, Sasuke, is assisting Boruto. Fans are finding these loopholes disappointing.
Isn’t it a bit telling that there’s something wrong when Sasuke joined the alleged killer of his best friend? I thought Shikamaru was smart! The switching plot is interesting but they should have executed it better without any loophole whatsoever.

Shikamaru tells Sarada in Boruto Chapter 81 that at this pace, she won’t be able to be anything more than a Genin, let alone a Hokage. This brings up an intriguing question. Sarada has already been promoted to Chunin in the anime series. Does that imply that she will be downgraded to a Genin in the anime series?
“Sarada getting demoted in the anime wouldn’t be that surprising for me, given that the whole gang has been getting suspension/demotion like twice there only getting saved by other Kages. And Shikamaru is 100% way harsher than Naruto.”

Eida admits to Sarada and Sumire in Boruto Chapter 81 that she cannot manage her Omnipotence abilities but has been learning new things about it for quite some time. She also begins to have questions about both of them because they are the only ones who are so protective of Boruto. Even though Sarada and Sumire made a justification for their actions, many fans believe Dameon and Eida knew why. Fans also feel that Omnipotence is poorly handled and is one of the worst written parts. Is Omnipotence indeed unbreakable?
Omnipotence itself to me is the worst written part, as it makes it seem it can never be turned off, fixes inconsistencies, and has to be replaced with new memories, and even then the effects dont wear off

We also see further in Boruto Chapter 81 that Mitsuki and Himawari find it hard to believe Kawaki and doubt Boruto. Could this also mean that there is a possibility that Mitsuki has undone the Omnipotence ninjutsu while Himawari has gotten her memory back? We know Mitsuki is an experimental child of Orochimaru, so Mitsuki may be just playing along with Kawaki’s intention to keep an eye on him.

It seems that Hima and Mitsuki are the only affected whose minds aren’t completely enslaved to omnipotence like Shikamaru and the rest of them as Sarada stated. Could be going on something there.
Boruto Chapter 81 concludes with Code storming Konoha village while Kawaki and Sarada’s unit fights him. Code claimed that he had been searching for Boruto for two years. He returned to Konoha this time as he believes Boruto will return to save his companions. One of the shinobi notes that despite possessing thousands of soldiers, Code has not attacked Konoha in the previous two years, despite repeated visits to the village. Why did Code wait two years to strike Konoha when he could easily do so? How and why did Boruto arrive at Konoha despite knowing that the people in the village were planning to kill him?
“Okay, my theory is that Code and Boruto are working together for some reason. Code’s scar suggests that they already fought at some point in the timeskip, perhaps they have reached a mutually beneficial agreement. Why? I don’t know, I just find it very gratuitous that Boruto appears just at the right moment that Code decides to attack Konoha.”
