The Naruto anime series aired from 2002 to 2007 but didn’t last long. Naruto: Shippuden began in 2007 and finished in 2017. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is a sequel and spinoff series that began immediately after Shippuden concluded. Naruto Uzumaki is no longer the primary character, as his son, Boruto Uzumaki, has taken over. Similarly, since Shippuden ended, many of Naruto’s pals have had children. Here’s a peek at the Naruto family lines to help you keep track of them throughout the spinoff.
The title character: Boruto Uzumaki
Boruto is the Seventh Hokage’s son, and Hinata Hyuuga is his mother. He is also Himawari Uzumaki’s older brother. As a result, he is the grandson of Minato Namikaze, also known as the Fourth Hokage. Despite his family history, he has no desire to become Hokage. Sarada Uchiha and Mitsuki are among his teammates.
Sarada Uchiha
Sarada is Sakura Haruno’s and Sasuke Uchiha’s daughter. Unlike Boruto, she shares Naruto’s ambition of one day becoming Hokage. She possesses the Sharingan Uchiha eye skill. Sarada received it from her father, but harnessing its potential comes at a cost. She possesses Sakura’s strength but lacks her mother’s healing abilities.
Mitsuki
Mitsuki technically has no biological parents because he is an artificial human. A former villain created Orochimaru. He’s a strange boy, but he has a special bond with Boruto, whom he refers to as his “sun.” Mitsuki, like his father, employs snakes in many of his approaches.
Himawari Uzumaki
Himawari is the daughter of Naruto and Hinata and the younger sister of Boruto. She was able to awaken her Byakugan technique from an alarmingly young age. As a result, she frightened her brother with its power. She inherited the eye technique from her mother but is still too young to take the technique further.
Inojin Yamanaka
Inojin Yamanaka is the son of Ino and Sai Yamanaka. He uses a combination of his parents’ techniques but is still learning to master them. These abilities include his father’s drawings and his mother’s mind-oriented techniques. His fellow team members are Chōchō Akimichi and Shikadai Nara.
Chōchō Akimichi
Chōchō is the daughter of Chōji and Karui Akimichi. She’s known for utilizing the Akimichi clan’s technique, which allows her to empower her abilities by turning her calories into chakra. She’s constantly eating to keep up her calories but has yet to master the technique of her lineage. Her team members include Inojin and Shikadai.
Shikadai Nara
Shikadai is the son of Shikamaru Nara and Temari. However, he’s inherited his father’s technique, which includes opponent manipulation through his shadow. Shikadai has his parents’ natural high level of intelligence. He’s also a capable strategist.
Metal Lee
Metal Lee must mentally prepare to master the ultimate taijutsu technique, the Eight Inner Gates.

Metal Lee is the son of Rock Lee, while no mention of a second parent is made. He inherits his father’s formidable taijutsu abilities. As he continues to practice with Rock, Metal is able to keep up with his high degree of endurance. His squad members include Denki Kaminarimon and Iwabee Yuino, despite the fact that he hasn’t had much opportunity to battle in the anime yet.

Shinki is Gaara’s adopted son, whom he met when he was a child. His natural transformation allows him to manipulate the Iron Sand in battle. He, like his father, struggled to control his powers. As a result, Gaara has been teaching him how to manage his methods better.
He is the captain of Team Shinki, which includes Yodo and Araya. In the manga, the other two members of the team are revealed to be Gaara’s adoptive offspring as well. However, it is never mentioned in the anime.
The majority of the characters resemble their parents in appearance, technique, or both. As a result, Boruto frequently appears to be a carbon copy of Naruto. However, viewers will have to wait and see how closely their character trajectories resemble that of their parents.
