Boruto Spoilers reveal that in Boruto Chapter 80, Boruto is on the run after being accused of murdering his father. Sasuke, Boruto’s mentor, is currently helping out Boruto to run from the village in an attempt to clear his name.
This is due to Kawaki, Naruto’s adopted son, making Eida use her Omnipotence and rewrite history. Due to this, the people of Leaf Village believe Kawaki is Naruto’s real son, while Boruto is just a rogue ninja adopted by their Seventh Hokage.
Kawaki resorted to such lengths to safeguard Naruto and Hinata, transporting them to another dimension so he could fight with the Otsutsuki clan alone, which included Momoshiki inside Boruto.
Although Sasuke, like the rest of Leaf Village, does not trust Boruto and is only supporting him at the request of his daughter, Sarada, and also because she developed the Mangekyo Sharingan while defending Boruto. This is how Boruto and his peers enter the time skip following Boruto Chapter 80.

Boruto Spoilers: Fans Predict Sasuke Will Take Master Jiraiya’s Place And Have A Similar Fate
Here’s where a few fans think Sasuke will get killed like Jiraiya in Naruto Shippuden now that he has already taken Jiraiya’s role, being a mentor for Boruto, in some way or the other, Sasuke may sacrifice his life for his disciple.
“I’m scared for both Sasuke and Kakashi. Sasuke is in the mentor role, I’m still betting Kakashi will take the Hokage seat back. Both are in danger. Especially cause both characters have 0 sense of self preservation. It is in character for both of them to run up on a stronger character and just die before ever considering a strategic retreat.”

Although, few fans think that this will be the best for both Sasuke and Naruto, who have already been “nerfed” in the series, and in a way, it is disrespectful to the original characters of the franchise.
It’s the most sensible thing they could do that’ll make fans happy and interested in watching. In people eyes, they’ve already disrespected Sasuke and Naruto.. well lemme rephrase it.. they’ve disrespected the OG cast. So them doing this makes sense.

While others think that they may not kill either Sasuke or Naruto considering a business point of view.
Sasuke is simply getting sealed. The sales of this series can’t take that type of loss. Sasuke dying would be ultimately bad in general for the series, we all know that. They’re def sealing him or sum other stuff. “Killing” Sasuke is out of the question UNLESS they wanna take that risk and risk the series plummeting even more. Vol 20 sold lower than 19 and Vol 20 was the transition to the timeskip and people still ain’t care so…

Kishimoto also confirmed once that Naruto and Sasuke exist for one another. If Sasuke has to die, Naruto might die as well. The creators will not take the risk of killing off important characters.

Final Thoughts
It would be unfortunate to see our favorite OG characters from the Naruto series dies in this series. However, we’re optimistic that Kishimoto and Ikemoto will collaborate to create another masterpiece with Part 2 of the Boruto manga.
