A Redditor recently pointed out the possible foreshadowing of a fight between Sarada and Eida. Sarada recently awakened her Mangekyō Sharingan, the dōjutsu kekkei genkai of the Uchiha Clan. Things will get very interesting as she learns to use her ability.
While some found this to be a very interesting observation, others found it to be not so interesting and as something very common in the Naruto series. A Reddit user by the name of u/RunSomeArends says “Damn, this is actually wild”. Another user replied to the comment that it got them all fired up.
Some are excited as this will mean a huge fight will happen between Sarada and Eida in the future chapters. Sarada needs to work on her Sharingan before she can fight Eida with it. This means that fans may get another montage of Sasuke and Sarada training together.
Another user by the name of u/ImmaculateWeiss said “Not foreshadowing, sun and moon imagery is super common for opposing forcing in fiction”. A reply to the comment stated “Not only that, Amaterasu is a sun god and Tsukuyomi a moon one. Well, every culture got their moon and sun god but Kishimoto has gone out of his way to include their theme in his story in multiple ways already.
As you’re saying, it is a natural duo in fiction.
Surely Sarada will have some sun theme to her. But, the examples given by the OP are kind of ridiculous to tie to her. Their clans are literal representations of what they stand for. One clan praises the moon of which they live, and the other praises its thematic sibling, the sun. What does any of that have to do with Sarada?”
What is the significance of the Mangekyō Sharingan?
Sasuke and Itachi Uchiha, members of the Uchiha Clan, are well-known for having inherited the Sharingan, a djutsu kekkei genkai. The Mangekyō Sharingan, a pair of celestial eyes that can see the truth of all creation without hindrance, is the Sharingan’s ultimate manifestation. However, as the requirement to access the ability is to part ways with a loved one, it is impossible to compel the Mangekyō Sharingan to materialize in a user.
Sarada probably awakened this ability when Boruto was cast out of the village due to Eida’s memory manipulation. The Tsukiyomi, a potent Mangeky Sharingan djutsu, is another ability acquired through the Sharingan. Tsukiyomi is utilized in somewhat horrifying ways to manipulate the target’s sense of time and entangle them in an optical illusion. Maybe if Sarada can awaken her abilities completely, she will be one of the strongest female characters of the Boruto Series.

Boruto manga is available to read on the official website of Viz Media. Only the first and last three chapters of the series are available to read for free and the rest of them are only available on a paid subscription.
